Georgia Thomas can certainly "talk with the animals, walk with the
animals". Our rescue dog Buddy, responded to her immediately. We looked
at several other training options and made an easy decision to use her
gentle, loving approach. She listened to our needs and showed us how to
fulfill them. As inexperienced dog owners she also gave us insight into
what stages and challenges were coming and when to expect them. She is
truly a lovely person and a treat to work with. We plan to be back
periodically for tune ups! |

I met Georgia about 12 years ago, when I enrolled my 9 month old Boxer in her Companion Dog course. Maxwell did so well in Companion 1, that we enrolled him in Companion 2. We progressed to the competition obedience class and my daughter, Michelle, and I put a CD and CDX (obedience titles) on him. We also started him in Georgia's Flyball and Agility classes. Before I had to retire him, he had achieved an FDCh in Flyball, and an OA in AKC Agility. In the meantime, my daughter adopted a rescued Border Collie from Georgia. Finn is a wonderful dog. He has his CDX and is trained to do Utility. He has also excelled in Flyball with an Onyx title, and in Agility with an AX and AXJ. At 10 1/2, he is still going strong. I now have a rescued Border Collie mix that I have put through Georgia's Companion Dog 1 and 2 classes. I highly recommend Georgia Thomas to help you train and understand your dog. I adopted Buddy from Cairn Terrier rescue and soon realized the reason I was his 4th owner. Buddy was hyperactive and had separation anxiety. After attempting obedience with another school, I discovered Georgia and stayed. Georgia always had the time, patience, and most importantly, the right answers to any training problem that arose. She encouraged me, and my dog, to experience a whole world of dog activities - which I'm still involved in today. Thanks to Georgia and her expertise in all things doggy, Buddy has earned titles in the obedience, agility, flyball and earthdog venues. He started out as just “Buddy” and now is known as “Workman’s This Bud’s For You OA, NAJ, CDX, ME, CG, FDCH, CGC”. Buddy was my first Cairn. I also trained “Glencoe Golden Girl, CD, NAJ, JE, CG, CGC” with Georgia. I cannot imagine anyone owning a new puppy or dog and not training with Georgia! Whether it is for competition or basic puppy class, Georgia can address any question and all circumstances relating to training. She is the most patient and knowledgeable trainer I know. She is this family's “Dr. Phil” for dogs. Thank you Georgia, for all your help past, present and future!

I had learned of
Georgia Thomas' reputation as a trainer when I was searching for a trainer
in my area. I was very disappointed because she was just a little too far
away for me to attend her classes. Then -- fate stepped in and she moved
to my area! I was thrilled and registered for my first time in 2000.
Since that time I have taken numerous courses with her and have trained 3
dogs to their CGC certifications. I know that Georgia is always available
with behavioral or health issues and genuinely cares about and keeps in
touch with her students. I recommend her and HDTC highly!

| My dog, Pearl and I have had a lot of fun in Georgia's
classes. We've taken obedience as well as agility (which Pearl loves).
Pearl earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate thanks to Georgia's dog
training skills. Georgia teaches her students how to train their dogs while
having fun at the same time. I highly recommend Georgia Thomas's classes to
all dog owners.
